Never Say Never

January 27th, 2008

Have you been watching the 2008 Australian Open tennis?

Tonight (Australian Eastern Standard Daylight Saving Time) is the Mens Final.

No Roger Federer

All the media have been talking up how this years Aussie Grand Slam would put Federer into the record books for winning the most consecutive Grand Slam titles. Pete Sampras currently holds the title.

Only thing is - Federer needed to reach the final and win to fulfill the medias predictions.

Never say never.

We don’t know what is around the corner.

We can and must plan for the best future we wish for ourselves and live out that plan.

And someone else may have a plan that will cut across yours.

But that will not stop me nor you for planning our positive future.

99% of All Self-Help Products . . .

January 19th, 2008

99% of all self-help products, no matter how authoritative they seem, don’t bring about lasting change.

 I can’t emphasize this strongly enough. . .

If you haven’t been able to feel how you want to feel and haven’t been able to get yourself to do something you want to do . . .  then you are being victimized by your own disempowering thoughts, beliefs and attitudes.

If you have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars on every method imaginable to make changes in your life . . . only to go back to the old ways of feeling and acting within days, weeks or months, it’s because your mental patterns were still controlling your thoughts and actions.

That is why 99% of all self-help products, no matter how authoritative they seem, don’t bring about lasting change.

You’ve got to stop kidding yourself with all the short-term; “go after the symptom, but ignore the cause” band-aid approaches.

Until now there has been no simple, easy and fast ways to permanently change the little voice inside your head, to change how you think, to let go of your past, to release unsupportive emotions.

  • No “how-to” book will insert the motivation needed to get you up after you keep falling down
  • No lecture or seminar can implant unstoppable determination to do whatever it takes to succeed
  • No exercise equipment can force you to take the time to use it
  • No patch, powder or pill can alter your behaviors.

All they can do is suck your bank account dry and leave you no more able to succeed on your own than you were before you got hooked on them.

Until now, there has been no way to predictably eliminate the mental patterns that make fear jump up and stop you and install all the qualities it takes to make a dream life.

 But now there is . . .

It’s proven. It’s powerful. It’s even helped people who have suffered from constant panic attacks and chronic depression for decades to achieve remarkable, amazing things.

“This is an AWESOME way to cureproblems without beating yourself up . . .”

To achieve unimaginable changes in your thoughts and actions you need to learn the actual unconscious thought processes, attitudes and beliefs of the people who are the best at something already.

Learn a process that literally forces you to be like the people that are already successful in the areas where it counts most – IN YOUR THOUGHTS.

So instead of having just more information (in an age of information overload) but no drive, no will, no persistence, no determination . . . and thus no achievement, now you can have all those things and more with almost no effort.

And with empowering emotions controlling all your actions, you’ll be many times more likely to feel how you want to feel, do and say what you want to do and say and get what you want.

That is why, out of the universe of sites offering self-help products, I strongly recommend you visit:

the #1 most visited personal development product website on the entire Internet, bar none.

Friend, click this link now and visit the site. I highly recommend it.

Job Vacant: Designer of the Future

January 17th, 2008

If you are not doing the things you want to do and are capable of doing it is simply because your future has not been clearly defined.

If you are not achieving the things you want and are capable of achieving it simply because your future has not been clearly defined.

If you are not living the life you want and are capable of living it simply because your future has not been clearly defined.

Get the point?

Set a goal.

Start a plan.

Change your future.

Sorry to use an over used cliche here now guys but here goes:

It’s not rocket science!

I have some great tips for you on how to get you moving in the right direction towards the future you really want.

Goal setting.

Acting on your plan.

Seeing the solution and not the problem.

Liar Liar - Top 20 Lies Told By Men and Women

January 15th, 2008

They say men tell more lies than women.

And they also say anyone who claims they always tell the truth is a liar.

And it seems the truth of that claim has been confirmed in a survey.

Those participating in the survey admitted an average of four fibs a day - five by men and three by women.

Top 20 Lies

The top 20 lies told by both sexes are:

  1. “Nothing wrong - I’m fine”
  2. “Nice to see you”
  3. “I haven’t got any cash on me”
  4. “I’ll give you a call”
  5. “Sorry I missed your call”
  6. “I’m on my way”
  7. “No, your bum doesn’t look big in that”
  8. “I’m stuck in traffic”
  9. “What text message?”
  10. “I had no signal”
  11. “Of course I love you”
  12. “Our server is down”
  13. “My alarm didn’t go off”
  14. The check is in the post”
  15. “My battery died”
  16. “The train was delayed”
  17. “I’ll phone you back in a minute”
  18. “This tastes delicious”
  19. “I’m going to the gym tonight”

We might have a chuckle (or maybe not) at some of these fibs and white lies but there is a more serious point to be made here.

Answer this question - How’s your future looking?

This is not the time to be telling lies - least of all because you will only be telling yourself the fib.

If you know your future is not clear or is not looking as positive as you wish it to be then being totally honest with yourself is the only thing to be.

Remember, if you are not achieving the things you want to achieve and are capable of achieving it is simply because your future is not clearly defined.

Oh - and by the way. There are only 19 lies posted above.

Hey, I’m a guy!

A Question of SIZE

January 13th, 2008

So - you tell me - does size really matter?

Or maybe the question of the 21st century should be, ‘How much matter is in the size?’

After reading the following article in my favorite daily newspaper MXNews (January 11, 2008-The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Australia) you will catch my drift and agree with me that size IS relative.

The biggest black hole in the universe has been weighed by astronomers.

The monster celestial object is 18 billion times more massive than our own sun - six times larger than the previous record - says a team from Finland.

The object called OJ287 is orbited by a smaller black hole, which allowed its mass to be measured very accurately by relative comparisons.

The finding also enabled the researches to test Einstein’s theory of gravity for the first time in a strong gravitational field.

Get Your Head Around That!

If we take a basketball and look at it as if it represented the earths sun then you would need another 17,999,999,999 basketballs to create a relative mass  in proportion to what the Finnish astronomers believe to be the size of black hole OJ287.

I don’t know about you but I find it hard to get a perspective of that size in my mind. Man that is just too darn big!

Before the astronomers discovered the size of OJ287 they thought the previous records of a black hole being the equivalent of 3,000,000,000 ‘basketball suns’ was big. And let’s face it, anything in multiples of billions is large in anyone’s language.

It does go to prove however something bigger, faster, louder or greater can always be found - when you are looking for it.

And this is the point I want to make today.

A bigger, better, brighter, healthier and more prosperous future is waiting for you to be found - if you are looking for it!

What would bigger, better, healthier and more prosperous mean in your world and by your definition? That’s the key here. It’s not what is better in the mind of your partner, neighbour, boss or the guy walking ahead of you that matters. It only matters what you define better to be. ‘Bigger and better’ is relative in your eyes only.

Know this one truth. If you are not achieving the things in life you want to achieve and are capable of achieving it is simply because your ‘better’ is not yet clearly defined.

Choose a better future you will be happy with.

Set a plan for achieving the new future you can clearly see in your mind.

Execute that plan on daily basis - no excuses!

Now celebrate today the new future you have created for yourself.

Your new and better future is your New End Beginning now!

STOP PRESS: Belief Factor

January 8th, 2008

Unbelievable!

Following is the opening sentence of an article I wrote in 1985 titled The Power of Affirmations.

The full article is one of four articles included in my FREE Getting Back on Track e-pack.

Why is it that patients receiving placebo ‘medicine’ (capsules or tablets containing no medicine of any kind) can often show significant signs of health improvement?

And now read a copy of the article Belief Factor which appeared in todays edition of MX News (published by Herald & Weekly Times Ltd., Melbourne, Australia).

Belief Factor

Almost 50 percent of doctors have prescribed placebos, according to a new US study.

Researches at the University of Chicago said the study raised ethical questions and suggested a need for greater recognition and understanding of placebos.

“It illustrates that doctors believe expectation and belief have therapeutic potential,” said study author Rachel Sherman.

Placebos - dummy pills - make patients think they are getting an effective treatment and they sometimes feel better even though the pill has no proven benefit.

When you read my article you will get the chance to think about the phenominal potential of using your own mind in ways perhaps you haven’t done before.

By knowing and understanding the power of affirmations you can in effect ‘take a placebo’ every day and get all sorts of amazing mind and body benefits without having to swallow anything at all!

It truly is all about the belief factor.

Once Upon a Year

January 4th, 2008

Once Upon a Year

Want to feature in a true story I am writing?

Better still; why not feature in your own true story written by you?

A few posts back I wrote about the powerful impact a simple self help technique called Letter from the Future can have on how well you progress towards fulfilling your dreams this year and beyond.

So; have you done it yet? Have you written your Letter from the Future?

Successful People Do This
This one time of year is often the period of time where people sit down and evaluate their lives - where they’ve been and where they are going.

Evolved people do this.

Successful people do this.

Effective people do this.

Truly happy people do this.

Actually THE most effective, successful, happy people do this far more often than just once a year, but once a year is a bare minimum.

We all have dreams and desires for achieving greatness in our lives.

And achieving greatness for you could be as simple as wanting to grow a better crop of herbs in your home-grown-herb-garden. Or right up to earning your first $100,000 from your new one-person business.

Some goals can be deeply personal and pivotal in our lives. Living at the lowest point imaginable (as I was) and wanting so desperately to recover is an example.

Whatever our goals, modest or grand we can be sure of one thing.

We can’t hide from them.

If you do, you get to stay the same… you get passed by… you get to feel sorrow and
regret. And that causes self blame, confusion, anger, jealousy and bitterness.

That is why you must set goals carefully in each area of your life.

That is why you must plan and be as organized as possible.

That is why you need to understand and embed the mechanism
of motivation into your mind.

That is why you need to become a person who, no matter what, is action oriented, always doing THE most productive, goal achieving action possible, and not just being a “busy” person.

My own goals for 2008 relate to health and happiness, business and finances.

I’ve completed a SMART plan for the achievement of each goal and have written the Letter from the Future to myself.

Remember, a SMART goal setting plan includes goals which are Specific, Measurable, Agreeable, Realistic and Time-Framed. The Letter from the Future is the letter we date 31st December 2008 and write to ourselves NOW to tell ourselves what we have achieved throughout the year AND how we FEEL having obtained those goals.

The accelerated thought and behaviour modification programs I also recommend were developed to help you enhance your personal development plans, whatever they may be.

For more information about some of the specific programs click on the title and you’ll be taken straight to an information page.

Setting and Achieving Goals Now

Supreme Confidence Now

I Am Organized Now

Unstoppable Motivation Now

End Procrastination Now

Effective Time Management Now

Each of these programs was exhaustingly researched, designed to get you to think and act like people who enjoy the most extreme success and achievements possible.

Roller Coaster Junkie

January 3rd, 2008

Here’s an edited copy of an article I picked up this morning at my local coffee shop.

It was published in the December 2007 issue of Coffee News, Kingston Edition (Victoria, Australia).

Richard Krieger has had the distinction of riding the Xcelerator, a giant roller coaster at Knott’s Berry Farm in Whittier, California, an average of 12 times a day for the past four and a half years.

The theme park has given him a special certificate for being the record-holder for the most stomach-churning rides - 20,000!

The 61-years old (say what!) roller coaster junkie says he doesn’t suffer from motion sickness at all.

I Know What to Expect

“It feels like it did the first time I got on it, only now I know what to expect.”

61 years old and an average of 12+ daily rides on a roller coaster noted for its 60+ metre climbs made while charging forward at greater than 129 kilometers an hour!

That’s how Richard Krieger of California gets his thrills and I say good luck to him.

Wouldn’t we willingly swap places with someone like Richard if we could get that kind of daily exhilaration from the routine lives we live?

Now I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to be taking multiple daily rides on any roller coaster though! But the thrills and excitement gained is what appeals.

I noticed with interest Richard commenting “it feels like it did the first time . . . only now I know what to expect”.

As we get older our overall number of experiences in life obviously increases.

The More We Do It

And the more we do any one thing the more the  ‘. . . I know what to expect . . .’ phenomena occurs. Talk to anyone who is in a relationship about that one!

So how can we maintain the joy from getting our kicks from the things we do in life?

Do we need to go to the extremes of roller coaster rides  every day like Richard? Or can we find true excitement from the more mundane things in life?

Twelve months ago I would have said “NO!”, and a resounding NO! it would have been.

Without sounding depressive, back then I was more likely to want to leap from a roller coaster than ride one.

Back on Track

Fortunately I got my life back on track and today I do have clearly defined goals with a SMART plan for achieving more during 2008. I now have a ‘roller-coaster’ experience every day. And so can you!

Visit my site at NewEndBeginning.com and register to receive my free e-pack Getting Back on Track.

The Getting Back on Track e-pack will give you 4 articles I have written on how I managed to bounce back from the deepest pit of despair.

My favourite article is Why Goal Setting Fails because it was the simple concept from this article which I used every day to help see my future in a whole new and positive way.

Fat Chance . . .

December 29th, 2007

Today I am posting an edited copy of an article I read today in my local daily newspaper Herald-Sun, December 29, 2007, Melbourne, Australia by journalists KATE UEBERGANG and MEGAN MCNAUGHT. See article online via www.heraldsun.com.au

Fat Chance

This is the time of year we decide to remake ourselves anew.

But are we just setting ourselves up for failure?

Whether it’s a determination to lose weight, a pledge to quit smoking or a vow to master a new language and learn to play the piano, New Year’s resolutions are often set in a blaze of inspiration and determination.

So why are they often abandoned by the second week of January?

And why do we make the same old resolutions 12 months later?

A new year is a logical time to reassess goals and dreams for the future, but experts say if you want to achieve real change you need to do more than just wish for it.

“The trick in goal setting is that most people confuse goals with desired outcomes,” says psychologist Prof Bob Montgomery.

“You might wish to lose some weight, and people think that’s goal setting.”

“But that is good intentions or wishful thinking.”

“Goal setting is actually laying out a plan for actions you can take to lead to a desired outcome.”

“One way people fail is they set goals that ore outside their control. If you set a goal it has to be one that you yourself are responsible for.”

“And you have to set a goal that has a chance of success.”

“If you set unachievable goals you will fail.”

Clinical hypnotherapist Mark Stephens has more than 25 years’ experience in helping people achieve their personal aims.

Stephens says, “Over the next few days our resolutions are going to be, ‘get fit’, ‘lose weight’, ‘get healthy’ and ’stop smoking’”.

“People say they’re going to set a New Year’s resolution, but the problem is the new year only lasts for a day or so.”

“It needs to be a whole-year resolution or a life-long resolution.”

“Already that mindset increases your chance of success.”

How timely to read an article about how we view not only the next few days leading into a brand new year but also how we see our future into the long term too!

If you are thinking seriously on what changes you are going to make for your New Year and beyond then visit my site at www.newendbeginning.com and register to receive my free e-pack, Getting Back on Track which contains four articles I have written including ‘Why Goal Setting Fails’.

Or click this link now to read how a simple goal setting program can help you move confidently with your goals into 2008 and beyond.

Kind Regards
